Maleficent (2014)

Maleficent is a powerful fairy who lives peacefully in a lush forest kingdom until an invading army threatens her home. After rising to defend her land, she suffers a devastating betrayal that hardens her heart and fuels a desire for revenge against the successor of the invading king.

In retaliation, Maleficent places a curse on the king’s newborn daughter, Aurora. As Aurora grows up, Maleficent discovers that the child may hold the key not only to the kingdom’s future but also to her own redemption.
