Don Scarborough
Don Scarborough leaves a distinctive mark as a character actor in cult cinema, most notably in Russ Meyer’s wild exploitation romp Beneath the Valley of the Ultra-Vixens. In that film, Scarborough’s presence skillfully balances out Meyer’s outrageous visuals, giving depth to the chaotic narrative. His knack for embodying offbeat, often eccentric roles adds texture to the kinds of films where the line between satire and shock value blurs delightfully. While Scarborough isn’t a household name, his work resonates with fans who appreciate the unsung actors who elevate cult classics beyond surface-level spectacle. Collaborating with directors like Meyer allows Scarborough to bring nuance to roles that might otherwise slip into caricature, making his contributions memorable in the landscape of underground, boundary-pushing cinema.
