Richard S. Brummer
Richard S. Brummer’s presence in the cult classic Supervixens stands out for his crisp, grounded performance amidst the film’s wild, satirical energy. In this Russ Meyer-directed romp, Brummer adds a subtle layer of normalcy that contrasts sharply with the outrageous characters surrounding him, showcasing his ability to anchor even the most eccentric material. While not as widely known as some of his contemporaries, Brummer’s work in Supervixens remains a memorable touchstone for fans of exploitation cinema and offbeat American films of the era. His knack for fitting seamlessly into bold, provocative projects makes his roles a curious discovery for viewers intrigued by the interplay between camp and genuine character work. For those browsing through the film stills, Brummer’s steady portrayal offers a quiet but essential rhythm to the film’s chaotic pace.
