Susie Gooch
Susie Gooch brings a steady presence to her roles, often grounding intense narratives with believable sincerity. She’s noticed here playing Heather’s mother in The Blair Witch Project, a film that revolutionized found-footage horror and remains a cultural touchstone. Gooch’s performance, though brief, adds a layer of real-world concern to the film’s unsettling mystery. While The Blair Witch Project is her most widely seen work, her ability to create depth in small moments sets her apart. Collaborating with debut director Daniel Myrick, the film relied on its cast’s naturalistic acting to maintain its eerie tension, and Gooch’s contribution helped anchor the story’s emotional core. Fans who appreciate horror that leans on atmosphere and character will find her portrayal quietly compelling, showing how supporting roles can shape a film’s tone just as much as its leads.
