Airplane! (1980)

Ted Striker, a former fighter pilot struggling with his past, boards a commercial flight with his ex-girlfriend Elaine Dickinson. When the pilots and many passengers fall ill from food poisoning, Ted must confront his fears and take control of the aircraft to ensure everyone’s safety.

As he navigates the crisis in the air, Ted receives help from flight attendant Elaine and ground control, including experienced Captain Rex Kramer. The situation aboard the plane becomes a chaotic mix of emergency procedures and comedic mishaps, testing Ted’s courage and skills in unexpected ways.
