An American Werewolf in London (1981)
Two American backpackers, David (David Naughton) and Jack (Griffin Dunne), are attacked by a mysterious creature while trekking through the English moors. Jack is killed, while David is left with severe injuries and strange symptoms that only worsen as he recovers in a London hospital. Plagued by vivid nightmares and disturbing visions of his friend’s ghost, David soon realizes he’s been cursed to become a werewolf at the next full moon. As he grapples with his monstrous transformation, he finds himself a danger to everyone around him, including Alex (Jenny Agutter), the nurse with whom he develops a romantic connection.
