The Newton family’s quiet household changes when a young St Bernard puppy wanders into their lives, bringing joy and chaos. As Beethoven grows into a giant, lovable dog, the family warms to his playful and protective nature, filling the emptiness they once felt.

However, trouble arises when Dr. Varnick, the local veterinarian, reveals a hidden agenda involving unethical animal experiments. Beethoven becomes a target as the vet seeks dogs for his secretive tests, putting the Newtons in a race to keep their new family member safe.
