Dawn of the Dead (1978)

Amid a rapidly spreading outbreak that reanimates the dead as flesh-eating zombies, two Philadelphia SWAT officers named Stephen “Flyboy” Andrews and Roger “Trooper” DeMarco team up with a traffic reporter, Peter Washington, and his girlfriend, Francine Parker, who works in television. As the undead overrun the city, they search for a safe haven away from the chaos engulfing Philadelphia.

The group discovers a large, enclosed shopping mall that offers both shelter and resources needed for survival. They must navigate the dangers posed by the relentless zombies while managing the challenges of isolation within the mall’s confines. With the undead closing in outside and tensions rising inside, the characters face the struggle of holding onto their humanity in a world turned hostile by the outbreak.
