I installed Google Chrome and it does not give me the option to save the screencap as jpg only WebP file and it will not let me rename the extension to jpg. Well it was great while it lasted…….Thanks
Also I should say it will not work on my PC and Laptop computers
Well you need to install the extension in Chrome. Did you do that? First install Chrome, then install the extension, then refresh the page. Chrome should work perfectly well on all modern PCs and laptops. I’ve tried this myself, and by using Chrome with the extension, it lets me save any file as JPEG. That said, a recent and modern operating system will work just fine with WebP as well – for example, I can open it in Photoshop no problem. :)
For clarification, this is the page you need to visit to install the Chrome extension I mentioned. Visit it with Chrome and you can install it straight from there.
When I try to save the screencaps to JPG File it will not let me this is what comes up WEBF File, can’t save any of the screencaps it’s been doing this for over a year now. Are we not allowed to save the screencaps anymore? I really enjoyed this site.
Of course you are allowed to save. The WebP file is a faster and more superior file format to JPG, it’s optimized automatically for faster browsing. If you can’t use that file format, there’s a few fixes you can try. 1) rename the extension to .jpg after you save it. 2) download the zip file instead of individual files from the gallery (zip has only the original JPGs in it). 3) browse with Google Chrome and install an extension that lets you choose what image format to save – the “Save image as Type” works great for me. Hope that helps! :)
