Death Race 2000 (1975)

In a dystopian future United States, the government organizes a brutal cross-country contest where drivers earn points by running down pedestrians on the highways. Five lethal teams, each made up of a man and a woman, race in heavily armed vehicles designed for maximum destruction and mayhem.

The returning champion Frankenstein, a masked and enigmatic figure hailed as a national hero, enters the competition once again. This year, he carries a passenger tied to the underground resistance, adding an unexpected element to the violent spectacle.
