Dunston Checks In (1996)

Robert Grant, the busy manager of a luxury hotel, must cancel his family vacation when a hotel critic arrives for a review. Unbeknownst to him, the critic is actually a cunning jewel thief accompanied by Dunston, an orangutan who assists in the scheme. The hotel becomes the center of an unusual adventure when Dunston escapes, disrupting the usual order and prompting a hunt through the lavish halls.

Robert’s young sons quickly team up with Dunston, hoping to help the orangutan break away from the life of crime he has been dragged into. As the boys and Dunston navigate the hotel, their antics lead to plenty of chaos and comedy. With the villainous thief closing in, the family must work together to restore peace before the thief’s plan unfolds.
