In a quiet suburban town, an unfinished creation named Edward arrives after being discovered by Peg, a kind-hearted Avon saleswoman. Edward is unique, with scissors for hands instead of fingers, as a result of his inventor’s sudden death. Adjusting to life among the townspeople proves challenging as Edward tries to find his place amidst their curiosity and suspicion.

Despite his unusual appearance, Edward’s gentle nature shines through, especially in his growing relationship with Peg’s daughter, Kim. As Edward navigates everyday life, his abilities transform the neighborhood, but tensions rise as differences lead to misunderstandings and conflicts within the community.
