Erik the Viking (1989)

Erik, a young Viking warrior, grows restless with the endless gloom of the Age of Ragnorok, when darkness threatens to engulf the world and sunlight no longer reaches his village. Determined to restore light and hope, he assembles a group of diverse companions, including Halfdan the Black and Princess Aud, to embark on a perilous voyage to Valhalla. Their quest is to confront the gods themselves and plead for an end to this bleak era.

As they sail across treacherous seas, the group encounters strange creatures and characters, such as the goddess Freya and the trickster Loki, who add unexpected challenges and comic complications. Led by King Arnulf’s rule back home, Erik and his band face both external dangers and internal conflicts, all within a satirical take on Viking lore that blends adventure with humor.
