In the year 2029, humanity has embraced advanced cybernetics and a vast digital network known as the net, drastically altering how people live and connect. However, this new era brings significant risks, such as vulnerabilities to brain-hacking, which threaten individual autonomy. When a dangerous hacker called the Puppetmaster starts manipulating politics through these cybernetic systems, law enforcement faces a new kind of enemy.

To combat this threat, Section 9, a specialized task force of cybernetically enhanced officers, is deployed to investigate and neutralize the Puppetmaster. Using their advanced cybernetic abilities, the members of Section 9 navigate a complex web of espionage, technology, and political intrigue in an urban landscape transformed by digital integration.
