It Came from Beneath the Sea (1955)

Radiation from hydrogen bomb tests has disturbed a massive octopus hiding in the Mindanao Deep, altering its behavior and driving it toward the California coastline. As the colossal creature surfaces, marine biologist Matt Addison and naval commander Pete Mathews work together to understand and track the threat.

With the creature attacking ships and coastal infrastructure, Addison and Mathews collaborate with the Navy to devise a plan to confront the monster before it causes further destruction. The escalating danger forces them to balance scientific insight with military action along the Pacific shore.
