Jack the Giant Killer (1962)

Pendragon seeks to seize control of Cornwall by pressuring the aging king to step down and secure his claim through marriage to the king’s daughter, Princess Elaine. In his castle, Pendragon commands powerful witches and wields dangerous sorcery to bend others to his will. To enforce his plans, he sends a giant to abduct the princess, intending to keep her captive and force the king’s abdication.

On the giant’s journey back to the castle, a young farmer named Jack crosses paths with the monstrous captor. Summoning courage and skill, Jack confronts the giant in a daring encounter that sets him on a path filled with magical challenges and threats. The fate of Princess Elaine, the throne of Cornwall, and the village itself hinge on Jack’s bravery as he contends with Pendragon’s dark forces.
