John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017)

John Wick: Chapter 2 (2017) follows the relentless assassin John Wick (Keanu Reeves) as he is pulled back into the world of assassins after being forced to honor a blood oath to an Italian crime lord, Santino D’Antonio (Riccardo Scamarcio). When John refuses, his house is destroyed, compelling him to take on the deadly mission. Sent to Rome, Wick must eliminate Santino’s sister, Gianna (Claudia Gerini), to allow Santino to rise to power. However, once the mission is complete, Santino betrays John, placing a massive bounty on his head, and triggering a global hunt for the legendary hitman.

The film builds upon the underground world of assassins introduced in the first installment, showcasing elaborate action sequences, high-stakes battles, and deeper exploration of the Continental—a sanctuary for assassins. With stunning choreography, intense combat scenes, and a focus on loyalty and betrayal, John Wick: Chapter 2 sets up a larger conflict that propels the storyline forward, leaving John with few allies and even more enemies.
