King Kong (1976)

When ambitious filmmaker Carl Denham (Charles Grodin) organizes an expedition to the mysterious Skull Island, he brings along his crew and aspiring actress Dwan (Jessica Lange) to capture footage of the island’s rumored giant creature. Upon arrival, the team encounters a colossal ape known as Kong, who becomes captivated by Dwan. After capturing Kong and bringing him back to New York City, Denham plans to display the massive beast as a public spectacle. However, Kong escapes, wreaking havoc as he searches for Dwan in the unfamiliar urban landscape.

The adventure culminates in the iconic scene atop the World Trade Center, where Kong makes his final stand. The film explores themes of exploitation, beauty, and the clash between nature and civilization, showcasing Kong as both a fearsome monster and a tragic figure.
