King Kong Lives (1986)

After falling from the Twin Towers, Kong remains in a coma for ten years until his failing heart prompts a team of scientists to implant an artificial one. To sustain him, they capture a giant female ape for blood transfusions. Awakening from his surgery, Kong senses the presence of the female nearby.

Driven by instinct, Kong and the female ape break free, leading to chaotic encounters as they navigate a world unprepared for their return. Amid efforts to contain them, Linda Hamilton’s character becomes involved with the scientists working to understand and manage the gigantic creatures.
