In 2044, Joe works as a looper, a hired assassin who eliminates targets sent from the future by a criminal organization using time travel technology that will be invented decades later. His job is to kill these victims upon their arrival in the past to close the circle efficiently and collect his payment.

Joe’s life changes when the mob sends back his older self to be executed, forcing him to confront the consequences of his work and the choices that led to this moment. As the past and future selves collide, Joe faces increasing danger and moral dilemmas that challenge his loyalty and survival.
