After escaping the Maze, Thomas leads the Gladers into the Scorch, a harsh wasteland filled with dangerous terrain and deadly obstacles. As they navigate this unforgiving environment, they search for the truth behind WCKD, the mysterious organization that has been manipulating them.

Along the way, Thomas, Teresa, and their companions encounter resistance groups fighting against WCKD’s control. Together, they face overwhelming forces and uncover unsettling information about WCKD’s intentions and the experiments they have subjected the Gladers to.
