Monster on the Campus (1958)

College paleontology professor Dr. Tommy Morgan acquires a rare specimen of a coelacanth, a prehistoric fish thought to be long extinct. While examining the creature, he is accidentally exposed to its ancient blood, triggering a shocking transformation that causes him to revert to a primitive Neanderthal state periodically.

As the changes take hold, Morgan struggles to control his violent urges and keep his condition hidden from his colleagues and fiancée, Jenny Howard. The campus becomes a dangerous place as he battles the monstrous impulses tied to his primal form, threatening the safety of those around him at the university.
