Jill arrives in the dusty town of Flagstone, Arizona, seeking to start a new life amid the relentless push of railroad construction across the desert. The advance of the railroad promises to transform the area, but it also brings tension and uncertainty. Jill soon becomes entangled with local power players, including Morton, a railroad tycoon, and Frank, a ruthless man who has his own designs on the land and its future.
