In the forests of the Pacific Northwest, Mr. Meacham, an old wood carver, shares stories about a dragon named Elliott living in the woods. His daughter Grace, a forest ranger, is skeptical until she meets Pete, a mysterious 10-year-old boy who claims to live with the very same green dragon.

Concerned for Pete’s origins and safety, Grace teams up with Natalie, an 11-year-old whose father Jack runs the local lumber mill, to uncover the truth about Pete and Elliott. Together, they navigate the challenges of the wilderness and the small town to find where Pete truly belongs.
