Psycho (1960)

Marion Crane, a real estate clerk, impulsively steals a large sum of money and decides to escape her life in pursuit of a fresh start. With the stolen cash in hand, she flees and eventually arrives at the remote Bates Motel.

At the motel, Marion encounters Norman Bates, the shy and reserved proprietor who lives with his overbearing mother. The eerie atmosphere of the motel and the strange dynamics between Norman and his mother set the stage for a tense and unsettling situation.
