Rashomon (1950)
Set in feudal Japan, Rashomon tells the story of a brutal crime and the conflicting accounts from four witnesses: a samurai’s wife, a bandit, a woodcutter, and a medium. Directed by Akira Kurosawa, the film explores themes of truth, morality, and human nature, questioning the reliability of memory and perspective.
