Sicario (2015)

Kate Macer, an idealistic FBI agent, is recruited to join a covert government task force focused on combating the growing drug trade along the U.S.-Mexico border. As part of the team, she works under the guidance of Matt Graver, a pragmatic military operative, and Alejandro Gillick, a mysterious consultant with a personal stake in the mission. Their operations take place in the tense and dangerous border regions where law enforcement faces constant challenges from powerful drug cartels.

The task force employs aggressive and unconventional tactics to disrupt cartel activity, relying on intelligence and coordinated raids to undermine smuggling routes and seize narcotics shipments. Throughout the mission, Kate confronts the harsh realities of the drug war, testing her principles and resolve while navigating the complex dynamics between the U.S. authorities, Mexican criminal organizations, and the shadowy forces driving the conflict.
