Stand by Me (1986)

Four boys—Gordie, Vern, Chris, and Teddy—set out from their rural town after hearing about the accidental death of a peer in the nearby woods. Their goal is to find the body, turning a casual plan into a journey filled with unexpected challenges. Along the way, they confront a hostile junk man and cross a leech-infested marsh.

As they travel deeper into the wilderness, the boys learn about each other’s struggles and backgrounds, revealing their distinct personalities and complicated home lives. What begins as a simple adventure quickly becomes a pivotal experience that shapes their friendship and adolescent years.
