Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (1986)

When an enormous alien probe appears in Earth’s orbit, emitting a powerful signal that causes the planet’s oceans to vanish, Admiral Kirk and the crew of the Starship Enterprise face an unprecedented crisis. Believing the probe’s signal is connected to the extinction of humpback whales, they realize that to communicate with the probe and prevent global disaster, they must bring these creatures from the past.

Using the USS Enterprise to travel back to 20th-century Earth, Kirk, Spock, McCoy, and their team embark on a risky mission in San Francisco to locate and transport living humpback whales. They navigate a world unfamiliar to them, racing against time to save both Earth’s oceans and its future.
