Strait-Jacket (1964)

After spending two decades in a mental institution for committing a double murder, Lucy Harbin is released and returns to live with her adult daughter, Carol. Their uneasy reunion takes place in Carol’s home, where neighbors and locals remain wary of Lucy’s past and watch her every move.

As Lucy struggles to adjust to life outside the asylum, suspicion quickly grows regarding her behavior and intentions. Carol finds herself torn between protecting her mother and confronting the disturbing questions that arise around her return, creating an atmosphere of tension and distrust.
