In a small desert town, Dr. Matt Hastings becomes suspicious when Ed Swanson, the assistant to scientist Dr. Gerald Deemer, dies from an unusually rapid case of acromegaly. Investigating alongside Deemer’s new assistant, Sheila Winthrop, Hastings uncovers disturbing signs of a growing threat.

As livestock and people begin disappearing under mysterious circumstances, the town grapples with the presence of an enormous, ravenous creature lurking nearby. The tension escalates as Hastings and Sheila race to understand what is destroying the local community before more lives are lost.
