A decade after an initial battle against a lethal machine, a reprogrammed T-800 is sent back in time to protect teenage John Connor, the future leader of the human resistance. John, targeted by the advanced liquid-metal assassin known as the T-1000, must stay one step ahead to survive.

Joining forces with his mother, Sarah Connor, they work to prevent Skynet, the artificial intelligence system, from initiating a nuclear war that would devastate humanity. Their mission takes them through intense confrontations as they try to alter the course of the future.
