The Deadly Mantis (1957)

After a giant prehistoric praying mantis is released from the Arctic ice, it begins attacking American military installations along the DEW Line. As the creature moves southward, military personnel scramble to understand and contain the threat before it reaches populated areas.

Dr. Nedrick Jackson and Colonel Ben Peterson coordinate efforts to study and counter the enormous insect, working under the pressure of its growing destruction. The looming menace pushes the armed forces and scientists toward urgent action in remote northern outposts and beyond.
