The Green Mile (1999)

On death row at a Southern prison, corrections officer Paul Edgecomb oversees a group of inmates facing execution. Among them is John Coffey, a physically imposing but gentle man who possesses an extraordinary ability to heal others’ ailments through a mysterious power.

As Edgecomb witnesses Coffey’s gift firsthand, he grapples with the moral and legal implications of the prisoner’s supernatural talent. Determined to understand Coffey and challenging the rules of the prison system, Edgecomb confronts the reality of life, death, and justice within the confines of the cell block known as the Green Mile.
