The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988)

Lieutenant Frank Drebin is a clumsy but dedicated detective who begins investigating after his partner is shot under mysterious circumstances. His investigation leads him through a series of absurd and chaotic situations, uncovering a larger conspiracy targeting Queen Elizabeth II during her visit.

As Drebin navigates his way through the suspicious events, he encounters various eccentric characters and unexpected obstacles, all while trying to prevent an assassination attempt on the monarch. The action moves between police headquarters and the locations surrounding the queen’s planned public appearances.
