Tracy Lord, a wealthy socialite preparing for her second wedding on her family estate in Philadelphia, faces unexpected complications when her ex-husband, C.K. Dexter Haven, arrives just days before the ceremony. At the same time, a sharp-witted reporter named Macaulay Connor shows up to cover the high-profile event for a society magazine.

As old relationships and simmering tensions resurface, Tracy is caught between rekindled feelings and the pressure to maintain her perfect public image. The convergence of Dexter and Macaulay forces her to confront her own personality and the choices she’s made, all amid the backdrop of Philadelphia’s high society.
