The Prom (2020)

When a high school in a conservative Indiana town cancels its prom to stop a lesbian student from bringing her girlfriend, a group of washed-up Broadway stars sees an opportunity for some good publicity. They travel to the town with hopes of turning things around—but find themselves unexpectedly changed by the experience. As they rally behind the student, Emma, a heartfelt celebration of identity, acceptance, and standing proud begins.

Directed by Ryan Murphy and based on the Broadway musical of the same name, *The Prom* features an ensemble cast including Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, and Jo Ellen Pellman. With energetic musical numbers and an uplifting message, the film shines a spotlight on LGBTQ+ rights and the power of community.
