The Prom (2020)

When the PTA at a conservative Indiana high school prohibits same-sex couples from attending prom, Emma Nolan, a determined lesbian student, faces exclusion from the event she’s been looking forward to. Outraged by the narrow-minded decision, a group of Broadway performers, including Dee Dee Allen and Barry Glickman, arrive in town to show their support for Emma and her girlfriend, Alyssa Greene.

Led by their charismatic yet self-serving instincts, the theater stars try to rally the community and challenge the school’s ban. Their campaign brings them into contact with local residents, activists, and school officials, sparking unexpected friendships and highlighting the clash between progressive ideals and small-town traditions.
