The Running Man (1987)

In a dystopian 2017, the United States has become a totalitarian police state after a global economic collapse, restricting all cultural expression. To maintain control, the government airs deadly game shows, including The Running Man, where convicted criminals called runners must evade deadly stalkers in a deadly hunt for survival.

Ben Richards becomes one of the contestants targeted by the ruthless show host Damon Killian. As Richards fights to survive the brutal televised game, he must navigate a hostile urban environment controlled by the government’s oppressive forces and the merciless stalkers hunting him.
