In 1826 British-ruled India, shipments of the East-Indian Tea Company are mysteriously vanishing, while local villagers fall victim to brutal killings tied to the secretive Cult of Thugee. The cult worships the goddess Kali through deadly rituals involving mutilation and mass murder. Despite the military’s attempts to dismiss the incidents, Captain Harry Lewis suspects a deeper conspiracy behind these sinister events.

Determined to expose the truth, Lewis risks his standing to investigate the strange disappearances and acts of piracy attributed to the cult. As he delves into the dangerous underworld of Thugee worshippers, he confronts both supernatural terror and human deception within the heart of colonial India.
