Them! (1954)

After nuclear tests in the desert southwest lead to the emergence of enormous, aggressive mutant ants, entomologist Dr. Harold Medford and his daughter, Dr. Patricia Medford, join forces with New Mexico State Police Captain Ben Peterson, who first encounters the creatures. Their investigation soon draws the attention of FBI agent Robert Graham as they realize the ants pose a massive threat to the population.

To prevent the giant ants from spreading beyond the desert, the team collaborates with the US Army in an effort to track down and destroy the deadly insects. The group races against time to contain the mutant ant colony before it expands across the continent and endangers millions.
