Heather Langenkamp, actress from the original Nightmare on Elm Street films, faces a terrifying ordeal when Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) begins crossing into her real life. As strange events and chilling nightmares intensify, Heather realizes that Freddy is now a darker, more dangerous entity who threatens her family, especially her young son, Dylan (Miko Hughes). To stop him, Heather must embrace her role as Nancy Thompson once more, battling Freddy in a world where the line between fiction and reality has dissolved.
