The Comedy of Terrors (1963)

In a dilapidated funeral parlor struggling to stay afloat, the desperate undertaker faces a looming deadline to pay a year’s overdue rent. With no recent business and bills piling up, he hatches a darkly comic plan to increase his clientele by hastening the arrival of new bodies. His schemes to drum up customers involve a series of increasingly absurd and bungled attempts, bringing unintended chaos to his grim profession.

Assisted by his nervous assistant, he navigates a series of misadventures that disrupt the quiet town’s routine.
