After leaving the Army, Brian Flanagan returns to Queens and starts working at a bar owned by Doug Coughlin. Doug takes Brian under his wing, teaching him how to bartend with flair and skill, quickly turning Brian into a standout attraction for the bar’s clientele. As Brian becomes immersed in the fast-paced nightlife, he adopts Doug’s pragmatic and somewhat jaded outlook on life, focusing on making money above all else.
