Six-year-old Eloise lives at New York’s Plaza Hotel under the watchful eye of her caretaker, Nanny, while her mother is away. Eager to attend a high-society ball and meet a visiting prince, Eloise sets out to make her own plans.

Along the way, she befriends a boy her age and takes him on a whirlwind tour of the city. As she navigates the excitement of the hotel and the bustling surroundings, Eloise also attempts to play matchmaker for her friends, leading to a series of lighthearted and charming adventures.
