Great Expectations (2012)

Orphan Pip learns from the lawyer Mr. Jaggers that a secret benefactor intends to transform him into a gentleman. This revelation sends him back to the world of his youth, where he reconnects with Miss Havisham, an eccentric and reclusive spinster living in her decaying mansion after being jilted at the altar.

At Miss Havisham’s side is Estella, her beautiful but distant ward, who has been raised to break hearts. As Pip navigates the challenges of becoming a gentleman and winning Estella’s affection, he confronts the consequences of Miss Havisham’s bitterness and the complicated ties of his past.
