Imaginary (2024)

In Imaginary (2024), children’s book author Jessica (DeWanda Wise) moves back into her childhood home with her husband Max (Tom Payne) and his two daughters, Alice (Pyper Braun) and Taylor (Taegen Burns). Shortly after their arrival, young Alice discovers a stuffed bear named Chauncey in the basement and forms an unsettling attachment to it. As Alice’s behavior grows increasingly disturbing, Jessica becomes concerned and intervenes, only to realize that Chauncey is more than just a toy. The family soon finds themselves confronting a malevolent force that threatens their safety and sanity.

Directed by Jeff Wadlow, known for his work in the horror genre, the film delves into themes of childhood innocence and the blurred lines between imagination and reality. The cast also includes Veronica Falcón as Dr. Soto, a psychologist who becomes involved in the family’s ordeal. With its eerie atmosphere and psychological tension, Imaginary offers a chilling exploration of the unseen dangers that can lurk within the familiar confines of home.
