King Kong (1976)
An oil company expedition led by Fred Wilson arrives on a remote island searching for potential drilling sites. The crew, including helicopter pilot Jack Prescott and researcher Dwan, disrupts the habitat of a colossal ape known as King Kong. After capturing the creature, they transport him back to New York City with the goal of showcasing him as a spectacle and profiting from his presence.
As Kong adapts to the urban environment, the expedition faces mounting challenges managing the enormous beast. The conflict escalates around the tension between exploiting Kong as a commercial attraction and containing the dangers he poses to the city and its inhabitants.
