Monty Python’s Life of Brian (1979)
Brian Cohen is a young Jewish man living in Judea under Roman rule who unexpectedly becomes mistaken for the Messiah after a string of absurd and comical incidents. While trying to live a quiet life, Brian constantly finds himself dodging his overzealous followers and navigating the frustrations of his nagging mother.
Amidst the chaos, Brian clashes with the pompous Pontius Pilate and encounters a separatist group obsessed with acronyms, the People’s Front of Judea. His ordinary existence becomes increasingly entangled with mistaken identities and misunderstandings, all set against a satirical take on biblical times and political turmoil.
