In a future where enormous alien creatures known as Kaiju rise from the Pacific Ocean to attack humanity, the Pan Pacific Defense Corps deploy massive piloted robots called Jaegers to combat the threat. With conventional defenses failing, the organization’s last hope rests on an unlikely pair of pilots forced to work together in a desperate bid to control a damaged Jaeger.

Raleigh Becket, a former pilot, and Mako Mori, a trainee with a personal stake in the war, must synchronize their minds to operate the Jaeger and take the fight deep into enemy territory. As the Kaiju continue their relentless assault, the fate of humanity hangs on these last defenders and their weaponized machines.
